Doggles

Doggles

Jake, my ten year old Labrador, got himself a nice shiny pair of “doggles”.

Surprising, he has taken to them very well making few attempts to paw them off of his head.

Now he can hang his head out the car window without fear of losing am eye to a bug or other debris.

This is truly exciting stuff.

‘Pits’ Car Wash is the Pip’s.

‘Pits’ Car Wash is the Pip’s.

I always feel like I give businesses a second chance.  You know, like when you eat somewhere that ’should’ be decent and the food tastes like it slid down the fat hairy sweaty back of the guy in the kitchen; you might go again, right?   Okay, so maybe not that extreme.  But some businesses deserve a second chance, or even a third.

Ads or Content? What a PITA.

Ads or Content? What a PITA.

Why do companies (or whoever) insist on putting so many ads or make them so prominent on their web sites?

I recently did a Google search which ultimately directed me to forums on a site  called Just Skins (www.justskins.com).   About half of the page I landed on, measuring from top to bottom was nothing but Google ads.    If I said it was difficult to determine the difference between the ads and the content, I would be lying.

People and Their Loud Ass Music

People and Their Loud Ass Music

I’m standing in a public parking lot with a friend waiting for another friend, and this guy in a blazer, (pictured here) was playing thump thump music so loud it was rattling the trim on my buddy’s truck.  And, of course all of his windows were down, either because he doesn’t have A/C or he wanted to make sure everyone could hear what a super duper loud audio system he has.

Fees Fees and More Fees

Aug 14th, 2009 by Michael Love
Fees Fees and More Fees

I was at LA Tan located at the corner of Hilliard Rome Road and Roberts Road (in Hilliard, Ohio) this morning when I learned that I had been accessed a $15 fee due to a credit card decline.  My membership automatically renews and drafts from my debit card on the first of each month.

This is simple: My card was canceled due to a Rewards Upgrade with Chase bank.  I was in the LA Tan facility on the third of the month at which time I updated my card information on file.  It just never dawned on me to call them and have the information updated prior to the 1st, knowing that I go there frequent enough and have had an active membership in good standing for well over a year.

Sad

Sad

A man from Springfield Ohio was killed last night just prior to me passing through the intersection of Polaris and Interstate 71 south.

I had a close call with a bus not more than an hour earlier so seeing the wreck got me thinking how fast it could all be over.

YouTube on the iPhone 3G is Sweet

Jul 24th, 2008 by Michael Love

Today, I played with the YouTube application for a bit. This is definetly a nicely integrated application. The video downloads were fast on my WiFi and on the AT&T network. There are five tappers at the bottom of the screen that made it easy to browse for cool vids.

Setting up a POP3 Email Account on My 3G

Jul 22nd, 2008 by Michael Love

Most of the domains I have are on a shared hosting package with GoDaddy. If you are using GoDaddy, you know that the outgoing SMTP must be set to smtpout.secureserver.net. So, I tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Add Account… then selected Other. Additional options were Exchange, mobileme, Gmail, Yahoo and AOL.
