Today, I played with the YouTube application for a bit. This is definetly a nicely integrated application. The video downloads were fast on my WiFi and on the AT&T network. There are five tappers at the bottom of the screen that made it easy to browse for cool vids.

Featured

If you are just looking for something random to view, the featured section is a quick tap from all sorts of odd people and other videes. I’m not sure how a YouTube video get’s its featured status, but some of the ones I tapped on were kinda crappy and stupid.

Most Viewed

I know you are going to find this hard to believe, but this tapper displays the mosted viewed videos. These were among the better videos I viewed during my YouTube playtime.

Bookmarks

This is a really cool feature. I bookmarked a few videos I thought were worthwhile, and presto; there they were in my bookmarked tapper. It made it very convenient to share Christian the Lion with my sister at a later time.

Search

Tyoe in search words and find sometyhing that suits your fancy; Blah blah blah. It’s a search feature.

More

The more section has “Most Recent” (cool), “Top Rated” (even more cool) and “History” (kinda cool). If you are not sure what you want to watch but have the need for some entertainment, you should check out what everyone else likes.

Well, that’s about it. Overall, it was a great experience. In some instances (WiFi and AT&T) the vids didn’t play right away, but a tap on done then the vid again resolved it.

The only thing I can hope for is that I did not inadvertantly watch any copyrighted Viacom videos.
